Ponies
Association (UK) were delighted their chairman Davina Whiteman received
the HOYS Equestrian of the Year Award. Davina was one of the top pony
producers in the UK throughout the 60’s and 70’s. Her career progressed
from competing to producing, training and into judging. Her reputation for
perfection has always preceded her. In addition to these numerous roles
she is vice chairman of the Showing Council. She has attended every HOYS
since its formation and at the first she was 2nd on Firefly and
the second and third years she won the championship on Albert Deptford’s
Pretty Polly. She has also had numerous successes with hunters, hacks and
holds the record for winning the Pony Championship four years in
succession with Cathryn Cooper and Holly Of Spring. Ponies (UK) appreciate
all the hard work she puts into the Association.
