Do I have to be a member to compete at
Ponies Association (UK) shows?
No

Do I have to be a member to qualify?
No - Qualification is open to
members & non-members.
Once qualified Non-members have
14 days in which to
become members in order
for their qualification to
remain valid.

holding specific qualifiers?

I’m not sure if I’ve qualified?
1st, 2nd
& 3rd placed ponies in each championship will qualify, the
qualification is not passed down the line

I wasn’t given a card in the ring have I
still qualified?
Qualified exhibits will not
receive a card in the ring; show secretaries will send Ponies (UK) results

How long do I have to become a member and
therefore keep my qualification valid?
Each qualified exhibit will
have 14 days in which to become a member & register your animal

How much is membership & do I have to
renew each year?
Adult £50.00 or Adult Lee Smith
£65.00, Horse/Pony Registration £18.00, Senior or Junior Riders Club
Membership £15.00 Membership is valid for a full year.

What membership do I
need for Pollyanna Championship classes?
Senior or Junior Riders Club
Membership, this only costs £15.00

Can I renew membership by phone?
No. Membership can only be
obtained by post or on line

What is the difference between
A-Membership and Lee-Smith Membership?
‘A’ Membership is for any adult
member, Adult Lee-Smith is for home produced exhibits only. Lee-Smith
Classification - see page 7 rule 24 of 2009 rule book

Do we have to send our animal’s passport
to you when applying for membership?
No, only a photocopy of the
passport or breed papers

I recently registered as a member; can I
change it to Lee-Smith membership?
Yes, you can upgrade your
membership by paying the additional £15.00 as long as you fulfil the
criteria

I tried to do my membership on line but
it won’t let me register a pony, what am I doing wrong?
New members are required to
register as an ‘A’ Member or ALS Member first; once this is done a pony can
then be registered.
Existing customers can only
renew if Ponies Association (UK) have a current email address for the member

I registered my animal on line but I
haven’t had anything back yet is there a problem?
Registration will remain
pending until copies of breed papers or passports with the UELN (Unique
Equine Life Number) have been received by Ponies Association (UK)

Do I have to be a member to enter a
Lee-Smith class & can my friend exhibit the horse for me?
In order to enter these classes
you must be a current Lee-Smith member & only the owner or their
spouse/child or grandchild can exhibit that animal
